Acne Breakthrough

The Acleara System is an exciting breakthrough in acne treatment, which has been very challenging for both patients and physicians. Acleara is an FDA approved system for treating mild to moderate comedonal and pustular acne in teenagers and adults.

The Acleara System uses an advanced vacuum to clear pores of sebaceous material. The filtered broadband light technology delivers targeted heating to the sebaceous glands (which are overactive in acne) and eradicates the bacteria that cause inflammation.

The advantages of Acleara over traditional medical regimens are multiple. Acleara allows physicians to treat acne without the use of systemic antibiotics or topical medications that are associated with side effects which affect patient compliance.

In addition, improvement in acne is seen much more quickly with Acleara than with traditional therapy. Usually patients must wait up to three months of traditional treatment to see any improvement in their acne. This can be very discouraging, especially for young patients. With the Acleara System patients often see a significant improvement after their first treatment and treatments can be repeated weekly for optimal results. Depending on the severity, patients may need four or more treatments.

Acleara treatments are fast, hygienic, comfortable and require no “down-time” for the patient. A full-face treatment takes about 15 minutes and patients can resume their normal activities immediately.
